Custom Quilting

Custom quilting is my specialty! Custom work is adapted specifically to suit your quilts, with designs often varying between the blocks and borders. The density of quilting may also vary to create three dimensional effects or to highlight exceptional features within the quilt. My quilting is completely hand-guided as I do not have computerization for my longarm. My quilting style is organic, whimsical, and traditionally-inspired.

My custom quilting rate starts at $0.06 per square inch. Pricing for designs heavy in ruler work or quilts with wool applique start at $0.08 per square inch.

There is a $50 minimum. I charge a separate flat fee for thread, depending on the size of the quilt. This is to account for my time spent selecting thread colors, winding bobbins, and checking tension with every bobbin change or color change.
$5 Thread Fee for small quilts.
$10 Thread Fee for throw size and up (anything larger than 2,500 square inches).

I do not currently offer batting for sale, but will at a future date. Batting must be provided by client.

All-Over Quilting

All-over quilting utilizes a single, repeatable motif that is stitched over the entire quilt. This option is more affordable than custom quilting and offers a consistent texture through the whole quilt. All-over quilting is the free motion equivalent of computerized “edge-to-edge” designs, with the added benefit of greater variation and more of a human, artistic touch.

My all-over quilting rate starts at $0.04 per square inch. Rates vary depending on the scale, density, and difficulty of the design selected. Multiple motifs can be combined.
